Fire Audit allows to identify the non-compliance of the facility’s fire safety condition with the existing norms and the best ways for the client to remove them and adjust their elimination plan. This type of audit has an obvious advantage over an inspection done by the Fire Safety Authority, since the auditor does not make the customers afraid of unavoidable punishment but rather becomes their trusted adviser and an assistant.
Fire Audit (fire safety inspection) should be ordered when you need to:
get a full picture of the facility’s fire safety;
reveal problem areas;
minimize fire risks;
obtain a report and detailed recommendations on elimination of identified deficiencies.
FIRE AUDIT INCLUDES A NUMBER OF STEPS
Document analysis.
In order to conduct an audit, a relevant documentation set on fire safety is requested. In the course of analysis, the auditor will not only reveal all the errors and shortcomings in the submitted documentation, but will also offer recommendations on how they can be removed.
Facility inspection.
When inspecting the facility, the auditor collects the basic data required to determine the probability of fire occurrence and estimate the possible losses. In the course of inspection, performance of all equipment responsible for the facility’s fire safety gets checked as well.
Preparation of Fire Safety Report.
Fire Safety Report includes not only information about the audited facility's compliance (or lack thereof) with the fire safety norms and standards, but outlines the risks which haven’t been identified earlier.
Development of a fire safety action plan.
If in the course of the fire audit, it is revealed that the facility does not comply with the fire safety norms in place or there are other inconsistencies, the auditors will come up with a relevant action plan on their elimination.
