Industrial Safety and Labour Protection Audit
Industrial Safety and Labour Protection Audit, hereafter referred to as an audit, is a systematic independent process of analysis, evaluation and inspection of an audited facility which involves collection and unbiased assessment of evidence in order to establish the compliance of particular activities, measures, conditions, labor protection management system and information relating to these matters with requirements of Ukrainian legislation on industrial safety and labour protection (Law of Ukraine "On Audit of Industrial Safety and Labour Protection").

WITHIN THE SCOPE OF INDUSTRIAL SAFETY AND LABOUR PROTECTION AUDIT, THE ASSESSMENT INCLUDES
THE FOLLOWING 5 STEPS:
Corporate documentation audit.
The sufficiency of labour protection documents available at the enterprise - both internal (regulations, orders, procedures, programs etc.), and external ones such as high-threat work permits, certificates confirming completion of special labor protection training, and medical check-ups is evaluated.
Production equipment audit.
Safety and technical condition evaluation of the equipment, machinery, mechanisms, and territory. Both the overall condition of the equipment and its compliance with the labor protection laws - availability and relevance of reviews, audits and inspections - are evaluated.
Work audit.
Safety evaluation of work performed by the employees allows to reveal whether the staff activities and operating procedures are in line with internal and national labour protection requirements.
Staff audit.
Staff audit is aimed at establishing whether the staff is fully aware of the safety requirements and the logic behind these requirements in terms of performed work.
Management audit.
As a result of the labor protection audit, a written report containing identified deficiencies and discrepancies is drawn up. The report offers comprehensive recommendations on how to adjust the existing health, safety and security management system so that it is more suited to the company’s business processes.
